Airport Operations Officer Job Overview
The Airport Operations Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation, security and safety of airport facilities.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Complete daily Airfield Reporting Officer (ARO) requirements and perform Works Safety Officer (WSO) duties as needed.
* Conduct scheduled inspections of the aerodrome to assess and report on serviceability and safety issues.
* Monitor security across the airport complex and facilities.
* Implement, enforce and report on airport policies and procedures.
* Manage terminal, apron and passenger flows effectively.
* Oversee daily airport car park operations and front of house.
* Perform Chief Fire Warden duties when on shift.
* Initial activation of the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
* Carry out Wildlife Management Plan activities.
* Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
* Holding a current state driver's license and ability to obtain ADA license level 3.
* Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
* ARO/WSO Qualifications or experience.
* State firearms license or ability to obtain it.
* Prior customer service experience.
* A positive attitude towards aviation.
* Strong time management skills.
* Proficiency in computer systems.
