Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to manage the mechanical engineering discipline of a major capital works program.
This role is part of a project delivery team supporting the Senior Project Manager and involves providing technical leadership, managing projects, mentoring teams, and ensuring quality in the delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design, with a proven track record of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors.
The selected candidate must have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral, and be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victoria.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 12 years' direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF)
Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design
Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)
