About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Auditor to join our team in Newcastle. As an Auditor, you will deliver tailored Audit and Assurance services to a diverse range of clients across various industries including not-for-profits, clubs and hospitality, manufacturing, construction, and large private entities and family businesses.
The role can be a full-time or part-time position (24 hours per week minimum) and we are happy to work with you to create an ideal work schedule.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manage and complete audit engagements across a portfolio of clients.
* Plan audits, identify key audit matters, and implement effective strategies.
* Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Identify and resolve audit issues, including adjustments and out-of-scope work.
* Mentor and supervise team members, providing on-the-job training and support.
* Present audit findings at client Board or Committee meetings.
* Contribute to team innovation and process improvement projects.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 12 months' experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
* Strong skills in building relationships and communicating effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to learn new software quickly.
* Currently studying or completed a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) and CA qualification or the willingness to undertake it.
