Job Title
The Payroll Officer Administrator plays a vital role in the heavy industry sector, supporting operations and ensuring timely payment to employees. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Responsibilities Include:
* Processing payroll, including collecting and approving timesheets and entitlements
* Reviewing, approving, and processing employee expenses reimbursements
* Managing employee files, records, and licenses
* Processing leave entitlements, superannuation, and child support payments
* Interpreting employment agreements (EBAs)
* Resolving payroll queries from employees
* Managing the induction of new employees
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Payroll experience with workforces comprising predominantly blue collar/white collar workers
* Understanding of EBA and experience in industrial or construction sectors
* Experience with Coinvest/Incolink preferred
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, XERO/MYOB, and booking systems
* Effective communication and time management skills
* Prioritization, problem-solving, and accuracy
* Flexibility and ability to work well alone or as part of a team
* Discretion and confidentiality are essential
