Contract Role - Onsite Technical Support (Entry Level)

About the role
An internship opportunity exists for a Senior Analyst – Onsite Technical Support to join the dedicated and high performing Marsh McLennan Global Technology team for a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Onsite Technical Support Manager, the successful intern will learn to provide technical support, training, and guidance to colleagues in our Australian and New Zealand offices. This position works closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders and other IT staff both locally and globally.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Responding to requests within a timely manner with appropriate level of urgency, and follows up with customers on all issues
* Escalates and coordinates Service Desk requests to appropriate support groups
* Assists in the installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of desktop technology hardware and software
* Assists in disconnecting, moving and reconnecting technology hardware for single user, multi-user and office moves
* Administer user accounts via Active Directory and through other software systems
* Manage and maintain accurate inventory of local hardware assets
* Coordinate hardware and software requests
* Ad hoc project work involving the application of systems analysis techniques, researching technology options and user consultation
This position will suit an intern who displays a passion for technology and a willingness to provide excellent customer service and follow up to key stakeholders.
Additionally, you may have:
* Some experience in working on a Service Desk or a support environment
* Experience with maintaining a network environment and working within a team to achieve timely completion of tasks
* Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse stakeholder group
* Problem solving and analytical skills which will be enhanced during your internship
* Strong knowledge of Windows-based Operating Systems in addition to some knowledge of the Apple Mac Operating System
* Knowledge of standard PC software/applications (MS Office and Microsoft 365, Anti-Virus, Instant Messaging, Drive Encryptions, etc)
* An understanding of remote connectivity such as how and when to use a VPN
* Wireless network and configuration skills and how to troubleshoot common connectivity issues
* Experience with Android and iOS devices
* A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area will be well regarded

Job Types: Full-time, Subcontract
Pay: $52,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
