Maintenance Supervisor/Manager Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and engineering, with experience in managing large-scale projects and supervising a team. This is a permanent full-time position located at Glenelg, overlooking Glenelg Beach.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor/Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal useability and maintenance of all appliances and equipment within the hotel.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop annual operational plans and budgets for approval with senior management. Review resources and recommend optimisation opportunities. Track, review, and ensure the department operates within approved parameters.
* Participate in feasibility studies and analysis of engineering/maintenance/CAPEX projects requiring inputs from Engineering.
* Prepare and submit CAPEX proposals as directed. Follow through the process from submission to approval and respond to queries from management in a timely manner.
* Manage approved projects within approved budget and timeline.
* Ensure all equipment, services, and supplies used are of optimal quality and procured at the most competitive rates.
* Schedule/preventative maintenance programs on all plant and equipment to preserve/maximise the lifespan of investments.
* Work with senior management to identify and roll out programmes to reduce energy and utility consumption costs in the hotel.
Key Performance Indicators
* Responsible for the overall maintenance/useability of appliances and equipment in guest rooms, function rooms, staff offices, F&B outlets, and public areas.
* Plan and coordinate maintenance work plans with various departments to minimise downtime/impact on operations and guest experience.
* Ensure all downtime/service time affecting guest experience are promptly resolved. Where necessary, perform service recovery.
* Log all issues with clear details and track time taken to resolve issues. Identify service gaps and develop improvement plans to reduce future occurrences.
* Monitor the optimal operating efficiencies of machinery, plant, and equipment. Schedule regular preventive checks to upkeep plant and equipment according to standards.

Requirements
* A degree in either electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
* Good command of written and spoken English.
* Experience in managing large-scale CAPEX projects.
* Experience in administrative processes (e.g. budgeting, performance management).
* Experience in supervising a team.
