At this school, music is more than a subject. It's an experience. Their faculty empowers students from Years 5 to 12 to explore music in all its forms— theory, history, composition and performance. Through critical reflection and hands‑on creativity, they guide young men to grow as musicians, thinkers and confident performers.
What You'll Do:
As our new Music Teacher, you'll bring the curriculum to life with engaging lessons that spark curiosity and encourage artistic expression. You'll nurture students' skills, support their musical growth, and help them discover a genuine appreciation and love for music.
You'll also become part of a supportive, forward‑thinking Performing Arts Faculty that values collegiality, high‑impact teaching, and ongoing professional learning. St Patrick's offers a welcoming and dynamic community where your skills are valued and your contributions truly matter.
Essential Criteria
* A strong understanding of—and commitment to—the Catholic ethos of a school in the Edmund Rice tradition.
* Commitment to child safeguarding and professional boundaries.
* Qualifications to teach Music (Stage 3‑6) with NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
* Proven excellence as a classroom practitioner.
* Effective classroom management with clear expectations and proactive strategies.
* Experience differentiating curriculum to meet diverse learner needs.
* Strong proficiency on your instrument of choice.
* Confident integration of ICT to enhance teaching, learning and assessment.
* Ability and/or willingness to teach VET Entertainment or an additional subject.
* Experience contributing to school productions.
