Macadamia Farm Manager
Macadamias Direct is seeking an experienced and motivated Macadamia Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day orchard operations and drive performance across approximately 500 hectares of macadamia orchards. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient and productive farm operations, while maintaining strong standards in quality, environmental management and cost control.
Located at Winfield (approximately 45 minutes north of Bundaberg), this role offers a genuine lifestyle opportunity, with access to coastal waterways, fishing and a relaxed rural setting, suited to someone who values space, autonomy and a connection to the land.
The Role
Reporting to the Farm Area Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all farm activities to ensure the orchard is maintained to a high standard and production targets are achieved.
You will work closely with farm supervisors and operational teams to plan, execute and monitor farming programs, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily farm operations including irrigation, spraying, pruning, fertilising, harvesting and maintenance
* Deliver sustainable production outcomes in line with quality standards and budget expectations
* Coordinate and monitor labour, equipment and resources across the farm
* Support the development and management of operating and capital budgets
* Ensure environmental management practices and procedures are followed
* Maintain equipment and assets in a safe and operational condition
* Lead, supervise and develop farm teams, promoting a strong safety culture
* Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe work practices
* Monitor performance, complete reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
* Demonstrated experience in macadamia farming or a similar agricultural environment
* Strong operational leadership skills with experience supervising and leading teams
* Comprehensive understanding of farm practices, equipment and resource management
* Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and productivity
* Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
* Current driver's licence (Medium Rigid or machinery experience highly regarded)
* Commercial mindset with the ability to manage costs, productivity, and operational performance
* Relevant qualification in Agriculture or Horticulture (e.g. Diploma or higher), or at least 10 years' relevant experience in macadamia farming, or a similar agricultural environment
* Preferably you will have full working rights in Australia, however sponsorship opportunities may be considered for the right candidate
