The Opportunity
Are you a curious, data-driven professional with a passion for sustainability? Climateworks is looking for a creative Research Analyst to join our Research, Analysis, and Modelling team. In this role, you won't just crunch numbers, you'll help to shape the frameworks and methodologies that drive real-world climate solutions. Drawing on the latest technical, economic, financial, and scientific research, you'll translate complex data into compelling stories and actionable insights. What You'll Do
* Uncover Insights: Coordinate the collection of high-quality data from scientific and economic reports to fuel our pioneering research.
* Analyse and Model: Support robust data analysis and modelling (primarily in Excel), ensuring top tier quality assurance for both inputs and outputs.
* Innovate: Bring your creativity to collaborative problem solving sessions to develop fresh, innovative research methodologies.
* Tell the Story: Create clear, concise, and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and detailed reports tailored to our audience's needs.
* Manage and Monitor: Assist in developing project work plans, tracking timelines, and proactively proposing solutions to keep projects on course.
Who You Are
* The Qualifications: You hold a degree in a relevant field with subsequent experience, or possess an equivalent blend of extensive, relevant experience and technical expertise.
* Data and Tech Savvy: You are highly numerate with excellent analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
* A Creative Problem Solver: You have a demonstrated ability to think outside the box, interpret trends, and find practical solutions to complex, ambiguous issues.
* Detail-Oriented and Organised: You have a keen eye for accuracy, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to deliver high quality work under pressure.
* An Exceptional Communicator: You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse internal and external teams.
* Mission-Driven: You have a genuine passion for sustainability and a keen interest in energy efficiency, land use, or clean power generation.
