About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to support our Housekeeping manager in leading our dedicated housekeeping team. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure timely and high-quality room turnovers.
* Conduct inspections to uphold high cleanliness standards.
* Allocate tasks to housekeeping staff and oversee daily schedules.
* Assist in training and mentoring team members.
* Respond to guest requests and ensure special cleaning requirements are met.
* Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and adhere to budget controls.
* Liaise with maintenance and front office teams to coordinate housekeeping operations.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in housekeeping (hotel or commercial environment)
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
* Ability to obtain a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS, if required under the Kimberly Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA).
* Current C-Class Driver's License (preferred).
