Location: East Melbourne (Hybrid)
Rate: $50.05 - $60.77 per hour + super
Make an impact in Victoria’s energy future by supporting key government programs and senior leadership teams. We’re seeking a proactive, highly organised Coordination Support Officer to join a dynamic department contributing to major energy reforms across the state.
About the Role
As a Coordination Support Officer (VPS3), you will provide vital coordination and administrative support across Ministerial briefs, correspondence, and Cabinet documentation. This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast‑paced environments, enjoys working collaboratively, and understands government processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and quality‑check Ministerial briefs, correspondence, and Cabinet documents.
* Support senior leaders and internal teams with workflow management and document tracking.
* Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to efficient operations through strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
What You Will Bring
* Experience working with government processes, systems, and procedures.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high‑quality documents.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* A collaborative, team‑focused approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Critical thinking, analytical capability, and sound problem‑solving skills.
* Understanding of Ministerial and Cabinet processes (highly regarded).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in public administration, government, policy, or related disciplines.
* Experience supporting Ministerial, executive, or government functions.
* Knowledge of Victoria’s energy sector or related policy areas (beneficial).
Additional Requirements
* National Police Check (for non‑government employees).
* Commitment to cultural safety, diversity, and inclusion, including Aboriginal Cultural Safety.
* Ability to work in a hybrid environment; flexible arrangements supported.
