Nest Box Monitoring Role
This is a volunteer opportunity to lead community walks in Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park, where you will be checking nest box cameras and recording wildlife observations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and lead small-group walks (approximately 4 hours each)
* Check nest box cameras and record observations
* Collect and collate data on wildlife using the nest boxes
* Schedule events and promote them through appropriate channels
* Ensure data is reported correctly to support conservation outcomes and inform future land management decisions
Requirements:
* Possess a passion for wildlife and nature
* Be keen to engage and inspire the local community
* Be comfortable using social media to promote events
* Have confidence with basic digital platforms (e.g. Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
* Familiarity with Avenza (or willingness to learn) would be an advantage
* Ideal candidate holds a current First Aid and CPR certificate
* Moderate level of physical fitness

This role is supported by a team who will provide guidance and ongoing assistance.
About the Opportunity:
This is a regular commitment, requiring approximately 4-6 hours per month, with a community engagement event once every two months on a weekend, with other times flexible.
