 
        
        **About the Estate and Probate Clerk position**
We are looking for an experienced Estate and Probate Clerk who will support our Wills and Estates legal team to ensure our estate administration and estate planning activities run smoothly on a daily and long-term basis.
**About the role**
Our firm is often asked to handle complex estates which deviate from the standard. Experience with larger and diverse estates, trusts, superannuation funds, estates with multiple beneficiaries and/or estate litigation would be of an advantage.
The expectation is that you will have some experience in the preparation of estate planning documents such as Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and other related documents.
**Duties** 
- Daily_ 
- Day to day conduct of deceased estate files under supervision of an experienced legal practitioner 
- Liaising with various persons and entities clients, including executors, administrators and beneficiaries and dealing with solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, bank representatives, aged care facilities, real estate agents, auctioneers, stock brokers, superannuation and life insurance companies, Landgate, RevenueWA, Supreme Court Probate Office and others 
- Conduct of searches with Landgate, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and other searches as required 
- Preparation of transactions on the PEXA platform 
- Arranging for the lodgement and endorsement of documents with RevenueWA and Landgate 
- Drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and other estate planning documents under supervision 
- Providing high levels of customer service ensuring clients are attended quickly and professionally 
- Ad hoc_ 
- Project work to develop and build a wider practice 
- Administrative support including file opening closing and archiving of files, billing, safe custody document management and general administrative support to the wider team
**Skills and experience** 
- Essential_ 
- 18 months prior experience as an Estate and Probate Clerk 
- Effectively communication skills with other team members, clients and stakeholders at all levels 
- Administration of Estates once a Grant has been issued including liaising with beneficiaries, creditors, government agencies, real estate agents, auctioneers stock brokers and other third parties 
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills with an ability to multi-task 
- Able to hit the ground running and willing to take on responsibility 
- Desirable_ 
- Experience in drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and other estate planning documents 
- Experience with the Practice Evolve practice management system
