Support families and carers in our community with a rewarding part-time role that draws on your personal experience of supporting a loved one through mental health challenges and substance use.
This is an opportunity to provide meaningful support to other carers, helping them feel connected, understood, and better equipped in their caring journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one peer support to help carers navigate their caring journey
* Facilitate group sessions and coordinate peer-led network meetings to build resilience and connection
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health, AOD, or related tertiary qualification
* Personal experience of supporting a person with a mental illness, or psychological distress and recovery in addition to substance use
* Evidence of right to work in Australia
* National Police Check
* International Police (if required)
* Current Working with Children Check - Employee
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
