Role Overview:

The role of the Customer Development Manager is critical in delivering profitable and sustainable growth for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the delivery of key performance indicators such as Turnover, Customer Profitability, Market Winning Share, and TTS budgets. They will also own the promotional budget end-to-end and ensure alignment with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver Key Performance Indicators: Own the delivery of Turnover, Customer Profitability, Market Winning Share, and TTS budgets for assigned customers and categories.
* Promotional Budget Management: Manage the promotional budget end-to-end, ensuring alignment with S&OP processes.
* Joint Business Plan Execution: Lead the execution of the Joint Business Plan (JBP), delivering profitable and sustainable retailer, business, and market growth for all customers.
* Range Reviews: Deliver range reviews in collaboration with the grocery team.
* Grocery Strategy Execution: Lead the NSW grocery execution team in executing the grocery strategy in-store, delivering key targets related to EDDGIE/Perfect Store and Turnover in Independents across all categories.
* Candidate Coaching and Development: Coach and develop Territory Business Managers in the execution of their roles.
* Culture of Safety: Embed a culture of safety across the NSW team, focusing on facilities, OH&S, and security.

Requirements:

* Experiences and Qualifications: 3+ years of FMCG experience; full driver's license.
* Skills:
* Category Growth Management: Collaborate with the CSP team to enable and support the right category growth management approach, ensuring a triple-win (customer, shopper, Unilever).
* Commercial Strategy: Demonstrate commercial strategy through understanding the trade investment strategy and how to utilize it to maximize sustainable growth.
* Customer Relationships: Deeply understand customers and use this knowledge to build strong customer relationships that synchronize retailer and Unilever activities to maximize growth potential.
* Data Literacy: Be data-literate, able to analyze data to make better decisions and identify new trends impacting the customer, category, and Unilever.
* Execution with Excellence: Understand how to execute with excellence with the customer, deploying activities in-store using the grocery execution team.
* Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Proficient in negotiating complex agreements and resolving conflicts among multiple stakeholders (internally and externally).
* Building Compelling Propositions: Know how to use the right questions to understand customer challenges and needs, building compelling propositions that meet them.
