As a Senior Property Officer within the Property Services Directorate of the Heritage and Property Services division. You will be responsible for supervising and guiding the daily operations of the rental management team to undertake property management on behalf of the Western Australian Planning Commission (the WAPC); and managing the WAPC’s commercial rental portfolio. You’ll also successfully coordinate team activities and development, ensuring the delivery of divisional and departmental objectives.
This is a pool recruitment process for one (1) fixed-term part-time position commencing in late January 2024, with the possibly of extension and/or permanency. This a part-time position.
This recruitment process will also establish a pool of Senior Property Officers for permanent full-time, part-time and fixed term full-time, part-time opportunities at our Perth office. Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 24 months.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
1. Demonstrated experience in successfully supervising and/or coordinating/leading a team within a real estate, property management, land management or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of current practices in real estate and/or land management, with the ability to interpret and appropriately apply legislation.
3. Well-developed interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders to facilitate effective outcomes in line with stakeholder and broader community values.
4. Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Leading Others as outlined below.
