Goods Distribution Associate
At St John of God Health Care, we're seeking a highly skilled Goods Distribution Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the receipting and distribution of incoming goods, as well as picking, packing, and despatching orders to internal customers throughout the Eastern Region of Australia.
* Perform receipting and distribution procedures at all times;
* Accept and check goods received at the warehouse;
* Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids/equipment;
* Check incoming goods against couriers/carriers running sheets or consignment notes for consignee details, quantity, and condition of parcels;
* Ensure deliveries are correct relating to quantity, quality, and specification, conforming to purchase order details and conditions;
* Accurately receipt orders in the computerised supply system and process/file paperwork/documentation such as packing slips/invoices and receipt reports;
* Segregate direct supply items from inventory items for priority dispatch to the SJG Hospital Ballarat;
* Deliver goods received to the inventory locator within the warehouse, unpacking and checking for accuracy before placing into nominated locations;
* Rotation of stock to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) and/or nearest expiry date;
* Handle and store goods correctly to comply with clinical and infectious control standards;
Requirements
* High-level verbal and written communication skills;
* Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage priorities, and maintain performance at a high level within allocated time schedules;
* Basic mathematical skills to determine and verify stock quantities, prices, and volume of goods;
* Basic computer skills;
* Physical capability to perform all functions required by this position;
* Possession of LHRW (Forklift) and current Light Rigid Heavy Vehicle Driver's License is highly regarded but not essential.
