ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified professional to join our dynamic Financial Services team. This position will play a key role in supporting Council's financial operations through providing high-level accounting and administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Financial Services Section. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of Council's financial records while delivering prompt, accurate and professional service to both internal and external customers.
Hours of work for this part time position are 30 hours per week.
To be successful you will bring

* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accountancy or a similar discipline and/or sound experience in a similar role.
* Proven sound knowledge of accountancy principles and application, including reconciliations.
* Demonstrated sound administration skills with experience in the provision of high level customer service.
* Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of computerised accounting systems, Microsoft 365, including Excel, and other corporate software.
