Establishing a strong foundation in engineering disciplines is crucial for success in this role.
This position plays a vital part in ensuring the reliable sourcing, planning, procurement, warehousing, and transportation of all raw materials and components needed to develop innovative spacecraft and launch vehicles.
The operations engineer will be responsible for:
* Building Relationships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and lead challenging projects to completion.
* Data Analysis: Pull and transform data to understand current activities, and build a business case for improvement efforts.
* Process Development: Develop existing and future state process flows.
* Systems Roadmap: Contribute to a systems roadmap and work with the software team to develop requirements for any necessary enterprise system changes.
* Logistics Management: Anticipate and identify challenges within the material flow and logistics value stream, determine root-cause failures, and develop appropriate solutions.
* Operations Metrics: Develop, standardize, and continuously improve key process indicators and other operations metrics.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
* 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and/or inventory management.
