**About the Role**
Are you seeking a career in HR? How about working in the events industry and experiencing the **Sydney Royal Easter Show** (SRES) from a different perspective? If that's you, then we have something in common
We are now recruiting for an events-minded** Human Resources Assistant **to immerse themselves in all things HR. The purpose of this role is to support all services provided by Human Resources. You will get exposure to recruitment, our SRES volunteers' program, training & development, and HR engagement initiatives & event operations.
The HR team is presently focused on high-volume recruitment and onboarding of contract and casual staff, as well as the procurement of 600+ volunteers for the Sydney Royal Easter Show. You will be assisting with the implementation our volunteer management system. You will be learning the ropes of the daily HR operations and at Showtime, SRES operations. This is a very hands-on role, with lots of moving parts. You will be a 'master communicator' and will absolutely need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves. Exciting right?
We require a high level of flexibility around the demands of the events industry, so working weekends and public holidays during the SRES period and other event times are part of the deal for this role.
**You will have...**
- Tertiary education in Human Resources or recent graduate
- An enthusiasm for transactional & operational HR
- A high level of resilience, especially at Showtime
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships
- A strong community spirit
**This role requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be obtained at your prior to the Show.**
