We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our supportive and collaborative People and Culture team in a fixed term role.

Part time/ Full time 30.4 – 38 hrs per week

Hourly rate of $52.28 to $54.65

About The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our supportive and collaborative People and Culture team. This is a fixed-term opportunity until 11th June 2027, available full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE). We welcome conversations about flexibility and encourage applications from people seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements.

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, this role provides high-quality generalist HR coordination and support across the employee lifecycle. You will contribute to inclusive, responsive and compliant people practices and support positive employee experiences across the organisation. This role may suit someone who enjoys working with people, systems and processes, and who values fairness, care and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate end‐to‐end recruitment processes, including advertising, interviews, referee checks and employment contracts.
* Help deliver welcoming and inclusive onboarding and induction experiences.
* Coordinate employee lifecycle administration including probation, employment changes and exits.
* Support flexible working arrangements and workforce processes.
* Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and document control.
* Support compliance with employment legislation, awards and agreements (including Fair Work and SCHADS Award).
* Provide administrative and coordination support across staffing and employee relations matters.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, policies and people practices.

You are organised, approachable and comfortable working in a people-focused role. You enjoy collaborating with others and bring a thoughtful, respectful, solutions-focused approach to your work. You value fairness and consistency and understand the importance of confidentiality and care in HR practice.

You Will Bring

* Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Workplace Relations or a related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in generalist HR or People and Culture support role.
* Working knowledge and experience applying employment legislation, awards and agreements.
* Solid experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
* Strong administrative skills maintaining HR records, preparing reports and working with HR systems.
* Clear, respectful and inclusive written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities with flexibility and care.
* High‐level confidence using Microsoft Office; experience with SharePoint, Teams and HRIS systems is helpful, but not essential.
* Alignment with CNV's feminist values, commitment to social justice and child‐safe practices.
