A cutting-edge agribusiness is looking for a pioneering Orchard Manager to spearhead the establishment of three new almond farms in Cobram East, Australia.
You'll be responsible for setting industry standards, shaping the operational culture, and influencing the way these farms are developed and managed.
Key Responsibilities
 * Safety First: Drive a robust WHS culture, maintain incident reporting, and champion continuous improvement.
 * Embedding Values: Uphold and promote company values and behaviours, making them visible in decision-making, leadership, and day-to-day farm practices.
 * Orchard Operations: Oversee nutrition, irrigation, pest/disease/weed control, and ground preparation.
 * Team Building & Leadership: Recruit and develop a high-performing team, including direct reports.
 * Planning & Budgeting: Own work programs, budgets, and cash flows; track outcomes rigorously.
 * Maintenance: Ensure trees, irrigation systems, machinery, sheds, and consumables are well-maintained.
 * Quality & Performance: Adapt orchard practices to local soils, climate, and disease pressures, aiming for yields above industry averages.
The Ideal Candidate
 * Proven experience in orchard management (almonds preferred), or strong background in other mechanical tree crops.
 * Strong people leadership skills: communicates clearly, sets high standards, and builds engaged, accountable teams.
 * Commercial mindset: plans ahead, keeps a close eye on cost and productivity, and develops people to support scale.
 * Open-minded and curious: willing to test, adapt, and document learnings where proven playbooks don't exist.

 * Pkg:$135k–$145k + Super + Car + House
