Concrete Transport Allocator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Transport Allocator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily concrete delivery schedule, ensuring customer service, cost efficiency, and logistics planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure safety standards are met with demonstrated leadership behaviors.
* Provide continuous improvement feedback in delivery operations.
* Comply with fatigue management and safety policies.
* Escalate and report delivery issues or disruptions.
* Maintain strong communication with drivers and site teams.
* Adjust schedules to meet customer demand and plant capacity.
* Work closely with plant and fleet staff to optimize logistics.
* Respond to jobsite changes and adjust schedules accordingly.
* Liaise with external customers for accurate and timely dispatch.
* Take orders and allocate trucks for smooth operations and maximum delivery efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
* Knowledge of WHS requirements.
* Construction White card.
* Prior experience in scheduling, dispatch, or logistics coordination.
* Concrete or construction industry experience desirable.
* Sound computer literacy skills and willingness to learn new systems.
* Excellent communication and organization skills.
* Solution-oriented leader.
* Ability to pass medicals and inductions as requested and required.
