About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and committed Regional Service Planning & Disruptions Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. This role reports into the Regional Town Bus Services Manager and supports the processing of all service disruptions (planned and unplanned) across the Regional Town Bus Services in relation to disruptions, service planning and administration. This involves:
* Assisting with the identification and implementation of alternative bus routes for road closures.
* Planning and coordinating the appropriate resources, logistics, and administration required to support planned service disruptions across the Regional Town Bus Service network.
* Liaising with Bus Contractors and key stakeholders to minimise disruption impacts.
* Handling community complaints and queries in relation to bus service disruptions.
* Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance to ensure contract standards are met.
* Assisting with the review and development of regional transport services including conducting research, assisting with coordinating passenger surveys and analysing and preparing reports on trends to enable effective service planning.
* Preparing correspondence, including but not limited to ministerial briefings and responses, in relation to bus services and route re-organisations when required.
* Performing additional duties as directed by the line manager.
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Working knowledge and understanding of contract management and public transport issues with experience or understanding of urban and regional planning.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering information in a customer focused environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to shared goals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and evaluate information.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
