What You'll Do
Operate and maintain CNC machines to the highest safety and quality standards
Work with fine tolerances and ensure precision in every component
Apply a deep understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
Set up fixtures, tooling, and jigs with accuracy and attention to detail
Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and slip gauges
Write and verify CNC/CAD programs, including setup sheets for new jobs
Continuously monitor part quality and drive process improvements
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to streamline processes
Mentor apprentices and junior team members, sharing your experience and standards
Maintain detailed production records and a clean, organized work area
What We're Looking For
Australian Trade Qualification as a First Class Machinist (essential)
Minimum 3 years' experience operating high-speed, multi-axis CNC machines
Proven ability to work to tight tolerances and production deadlines
Strong understanding of OH&S and quality systems
Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Current C-Class Driver's License
Availability to work shift work, flexible roster available for right person
Visa Sponsorship may be available for right person – Kalgoorlie local only
