Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mechanical Fitter. The ideal candidate will have experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps, mechanical trade qualifications, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, adjustments & inspections of Slurry Pumps, Valves and Hydrocyclones in Goldfields Region & greater WA mining region. This may include on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently with our increase in work.

The position is located in Kalgoorlie and would suit a local resident. Domestic (only) relocation assistance may be provided for the right person.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
* Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience - recognised in Australia.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organisation.
* Hold a current motor vehicle license and be able to pass random medical and drug tests.
* Physically fit.
* Ability to travel with short notice.
* Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
