About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a full‑time Sous Chef to join our large team of professional and talented chefs. You will work throughout various kitchens within the resort, including the main production kitchen, outlets, and conference and events, to create impressive dishes that delight our guests.

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you will effectively manage the kitchen operation, leading by example, to ensure the kitchen is productive and runs seamlessly. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
* Producing consistent and high-quality food products
* Effectively managing and leading a team
* Communicating with the kitchen and food & beverage team
* Placing orders on time, stock requisitions, budgeting and knowledge of food COGS
* Contributing to events, promotions, displays & other specialist activities
* Developing and maintaining maintenance schedules to ensure compliance
* Contributing to financial and sustainable work practices
* Building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained
What you'll need to be successful
* Full availability and flexibility is essential to work a weekly rotating roster, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Experience in a senior chef role, in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment
* Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery qualification
* Experience leading a team to produce a high standard of quality and presentation
* Committed to delivering 5 star customer service
* Attention to detail, strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
* Work well in a positive team culture and thrive in a large and fast paced environment
* Full Australian working rights & the ability to perform physical requirements of the role, eg working on your feet & heavy lifting
* Excellent personal presentation
