Where you'll be working
Hunter New England Imaging Service is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering high-quality imaging services to patients across the region.
The successful applicant will work within the Hunter New England Imaging team, primarily based at John Hunter Hospital and Calvary Mater Hospital. There may also be occasional travel to Tamworth to cover periods of leave. You will be part of a team that values a positive work culture, with a strong emphasis on communication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to a patient-first approach.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will be rostered across all departmental areas including PET, general nuclear medicine, the hot lab, and on-call duties. You will provide high-quality imaging services in line with departmental protocols, always ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. The position requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, while also demonstrating confidence and competence when working independently.

We are looking for a technologist who demonstrates excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism. A positive attitude, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow are essential. The successful applicant should be adaptable, capable of working across different sites and clinical areas as needed.

Requirements
Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science - Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualifications recognised by AHPRA and current registration or be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
Hold or be eligible to hold a current EPA radiation license (S14, IA16 or IA16D.).
Participation in the general and on call roster to provide an adequate service to the hospital.
