Reporting to the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager, the Content Producer (part-time) plays a key role in supporting Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation’s storytelling and digital marketing efforts. This is a junior role (15-20 hours a week) and is ideal for an emerging creative professional with a passion for video, storytelling, and social impact. The focus of the role is producing short-form video content for social media, including reels, YouTube Shorts, Instagram stories and paid media. We’re looking for a self-starter that is pro-active in their approach to opportunities and passionate about digital first storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop storyboards and content outlines based on campaign briefs and objectives.
* Create short-form video content (around 15s to 90s) for use across social media. platforms and occasionally long-form video during campaign periods.
* Ensure consistency in visual style, tone, and brand across all content.
* Edit and repurpose existing footage and content to suit various digital formats.
* Optimise videos for different platforms (e.g., aspect ratios, captions, hooks).
* Support the creation of other digital content as needed (e.g., donor interviews, updates, behind-the-scenes videos).
* Collaborate with the team on content planning but work independently on execution.
* Stay updated with social video trends and suggest creative ways to improve engagement.
Experience
* Have experience working with Premier Pro, After Effects and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
* An understanding of social media platforms and how video performs differently across each one.
* Ability to create simple, effective storyboards and narrative structures.
* A good eye for visuals, pacing, and storytelling.
* Comfortable working independently and managing time across multiple projects.
* Ability to adapt, multi-task and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with brand guidelines and tone of voice adherence.
* Bonus: Experience working with or for a non-profit, NGO, or values-led brand.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Reports to the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager and will work in the Hamlin Sydney office.
* Works closely with the broader Communications, Marketing and Fundraising team to develop and deliver donor driven video content that improves the supporter experience.
* May liaise with external creative or production partners when needed.
