Urgent requirement for Customer Support Engineer - Contract - Perth Requirements 5+ years of experience with GE Smallworld PNI, CoreSW4, SW5, EO, GDO, GTO, GSS, GSA, DM, MES, NRM, K8 Must have 5+ years of experience with Magik, Java, VMDS, & Oracle Database Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs & debug files Experience in installing operating system patches and third-party software such as ONA, Data Center Management, etc. Hands-on experience in system configuration and installation of GE Smallworld suite of products Experience in applying fixes on live customer systems Proven track record in problem analysis, identification, and resolution Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills; proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming, Oracle, and system administration is a plus Desirable Skills Ability to foster a balanced relationship benefiting both GE and the customer, aiming for high customer satisfaction Leadership in strategizing with internal staff and customers to resolve and prevent issues Engaging with customers on daily issues; organizing calls to implement solutions while adhering to change control and compliance protocols Mentoring staff in troubleshooting and analysis methods Contributing to the Knowledge Base system for customer-specific issues Analyzing and troubleshooting issues across all aspects of GE solutions, including user interface, network, communication, and performance Troubleshooting product issues for engineering resolution and disseminating necessary information Adherence to all Quality processes; ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support Duration: 11 months with possible extension Eligibility: Australian/NZ Citizens or PR Holders only
