Join a well-established, mid-tier engineering consultancy of around 150 staff, known for delivering high-quality structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of building projects. This is a genuinely collaborative environment where engineers, drafters, and principals work closely together from concept through to construction.
This role sits within a technically strong structural team delivering projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, education, health, and light industrial sectors. Project sizes range from small bespoke structural upgrades through to multi-storey developments and large-scale institutional buildings, giving you both variety and technical depth.
You will work on projects all scorss Sydney with an office based in the Northern Sydney Region.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll take ownership of project delivery while working alongside experienced principals and a highly capable drafting and junior engineering team. You won’t be siloed — you’ll be embedded in projects from early design through to construction support. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and technicians, helping shape both project outcomes and team capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead structural design and documentation across a range of building projects
* Manage project delivery from concept design through to construction support
* Work directly with architects, builders, and clients to resolve design challenges
* Coordinate closely with drafters and junior engineers in a highly integrated team
* Provide technical leadership and review across structural outputs
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
* Support principals on complex or high‑profile projects
About the Team & Culture

About You
* Degree‑qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering
* 8+ years’ experience in structural design within consultancy
* Strong exposure to Australian building projects and standards
* Full Australian Workrights
* Confident managing projects and engaging with clients
* Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
* Chartered or working toward CPEng highly regarded
