* Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 7
* Based at Western's Parramatta South campus, with occasional travel to other campuses to support students, build relationships and contribute to Badanami initiatives
* Current NSW Working With Children Check required
Lead a program that empowers Indigenous students to thrive at Western

The Tutoring for Success (TFS) Program Coordinator plays an important role in supporting Indigenous students throughout their university journey by connecting them with academic support that strengthens learning, builds confidence and encourages success.

Working closely with Indigenous students, tutors, academic staff and colleagues across the University, you will foster meaningful relationships that encourage engagement, belonging and achievement. You will oversee the delivery of the Tutoring for Success Program, ensuring students have access to responsive, high‐quality support that reflects their individual learning journeys, goals and aspirations.

Beyond coordinating tutoring services, you will work alongside Indigenous students to understand their goals, aspirations and support needs, helping to create positive learning experiences that encourage confidence and academic success. Through building strong relationships and listening to student feedback and experiences, you will help ensure the program continues to evolve in ways that are meaningful, responsive and beneficial to Indigenous students.

What Success Looks Like
* Building strong and respectful relationships with Indigenous students, tutors and University staff that support student engagement and success.
* Coordinating the day‐to‐day delivery of the Tutoring for Success Program and ensuring students can access timely and effective academic support.
* Creating culturally safe and student‐centred learning opportunities that strengthen confidence, capability and independence.
* Using student feedback, data and insights to continuously enhance program quality and outcomes.
* Contributing to the Badanami Centre's broader commitment to Indigenous student success, retention, belonging and achievement.
* Supporting Indigenous students to navigate their university journey and realise their academic and professional aspirations.
About You

This is an identified position and applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person in accordance with Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting Indigenous students to achieve their goals and who enjoys building genuine connections with students, staff and community. You will understand the importance of creating culturally safe and welcoming environments where students feel supported, encouraged and empowered throughout their university journey.

* Experience in student support, learning support, tutoring, education, program coordination or a related area, supported by relevant tertiary qualification.
* An understanding of the opportunities and challenges Indigenous students may experience at university, and a commitment to supporting their success.
* Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, tutors, academic staff and colleagues across the University.
* Confidence in coordinating programs and managing multiple activities while maintaining a student‐centred approach.
* Well‐developed communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
* A current NSW Working with Children Check and the ability to travel between campuses when required.
