**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a Support Worker, you are directly responsible for the day to day support, personal care, domestic assistance and personal development of our participants. You will also provide a range of community living, social and recreational support services to assist people with a disability and/or mental illness to be actively involved in their local community, be valued and respected and engaged in meaningful opportunities. You will need a car to travel to participants residence as well as a mobile phone.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
What Do You Need?
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services/ Aged care, Mental Health with a minimum of 12 months experience.
- First Aid Certificate
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
- Satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check, prior to commencement
- NDIS Orientation Certificate
- NDIS Workers check
- **Experience in supporting individuals with autism and those exhibiting behaviours of concern is preferred.**:
- Evidence of full COVID-19 (including booster if eligible) vaccination or valid medical exemption
- Manual Handling training would be of advantage
- Have current entitlements to work in Australia
- Working with children check
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
- Intermediate computer skills
- Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including evenings & weekends and public holidays
