The opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure Services the primary purpose for this role is to manage delivery of various capital, civil and construction projects and programs within the Technical Services business unit in accordance with Council’s Corporate and Operational Plans.

About you
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent
* Significant experience managing complex, multi-faceted civil works projects including cost planning and project definition
* Proven contract administration experience — preparation and use of documentation across civil infrastructure projects
* Demonstrated leadership and supervision of both in-house staff and contractors across multiple disciplines
* Proficient in PC applications including MS Project, databases, spreadsheets and word processing tools
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation abilities
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills with a customer service focus

* Construction White card & Current QLD Class C Driver’s licence
