Excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting Graduate or someone with previous accounting experience to start their career as a Property Trust Accountant in our Brisbane team. You will ensure the accuracy, compliance and transparency in trust account activities.
The Opportunity
* Support and manage financial operations related to CBRE trust accounts. The role includes, but is not limited to:
* Financial control – ensuring trust accounts are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements, liaising with external auditors, overseeing property transitions, reviewing monthly bank reconciliations, and preparing bank fee recoveries etc
* Assist in reviewing property trust account balance on a weekly basis, prepare monthly management fee reconciliations and wages recoveries reconciliations
* Property Financial Reporting – assisting in performing all necessary reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
* Assisting in other tasks where requested
Here are strengths you'll possess and the background you'll need to be successful;
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business
* High level attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong time management and organisational skills to be able to thrive in a busy environment
* Superior communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Previous experience within property accounting or trust accounting is highly advantageous but not essential
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook
* Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
