Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Brisbane.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will oversee small to medium appointments, prepare briefs, and conduct solvency analyses. They will also be responsible for reporting directly to directors and managers on day-to-day operations of appointments.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Lead diverse investigations
* Liaise with creditors, banks, and statutory authorities
* Investigate distressed companies' financial affairs
* Collaborate on complex technical issues with directors, managers, and business leaders
* Prioritize and manage workloads to meet deadlines
* Analyse financial statements and related data
* Conduct high-level solvency analyses
* Prepare detailed reports and client communications
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
* Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major
* CA and IPA qualified or in progress
* Skills:
* Proven Australian experience in a similar role within an insolvency environment across personal and corporate insolvency
* Comprehensive knowledge of technical accounting concepts and including Corporations Act, Bankruptcy Act, and relevant insolvency law
* Previous experience with computerised accounting systems e.g. INSOL, MYOB, APS
* A high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
* Proven time management skills and high level of attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
