Responsibilities
* Curriculum Architect: Develop, roll out and refine comprehensive learning pathways for all staff—from new graduates and postgraduate students to undergraduate nursing placements and new employees.
* Educational Champion: Offer expert leadership, mentorship and support to our team of Clinical Nurse Educators, fostering continuous professional growth.
* Academic Collaborator: Partner with tertiary institutions and specialty Nurse Educators to co-create, launch and assess postgraduate nursing courses.
* Strategic Planner: Lead the planning and deployment of targeted educational strategies for the Ward/Unit/Service nursing workforce, ensuring alignment with district‑wide excellence standards.
* Ongoing Support & Development: Benefit from direct backing by the John Hunter Hospital Executive Team, with tailored professional development and a structured job-share handover to set you up for success.

Requirements
* Hold or be eligible for current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Post-registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.
* Demonstrated experience in a management role.
