In this role, you will drive sales growth and manage key customer relationships across the ANZ region. You will be involved in developing strategic account plans, identifying new business opportunities, supporting customer needs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product and market strategies. You will manage sales budgets, track performance, support customer payments and claims and ensure accurate demand and pipeline reporting.
The Position:
* Develop and strengthen business relationships with ANZ customers and prospects to drive sales growth and achieve/exceed the ANZ sales budget.
* Identify and address customer needs to enhance business efficiency, strengthen customer relationships and engagements and improve overall satisfaction
* Develop strategic account plans for key accounts by collaborating with relevant stakeholders across Symrise organization, leveraging the Account Development Plan (ADP) methodology
* Manage strategic negotiations and customer complaint resolution
* Implement the pricing policy established by the local Managing Direct and APAC Sales Director
* Negotiate payment terms with customers in accordance with customer guidelines
* Identify new business opportunities and customer leads to expand market share in the ANZ region by leveraging industry knowledge and professional networks.
* Identify and develop new business leads for Symrise Pet Food activities in collaboration with technical experts
* Record new opportunities and leads in the relevant pipeline tool to ensure accurate tracking of performance and project follow-up (minimum monthly updates)
* Review and report weekly sales performance using BI tools, analyse variances against budget and forecast and develop action plans to address the gaps.
* Drive sales growth with ANZ customers through the ANZ product portfolio while supporting new product development initiatives by setting up relevant data and monitoring the NPD process
* Ensure accurate and timely recording of monthly demand data for ANZ customers in the S&OP system (at least once per month) and actively participate in the monthly demand review meetings
* Develop, manage and execute the sales budget for the ANZ region
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to support product strategies and deliver comprehensive market strategies
* Support the Accounting and Finance teams to ensure timely collection of customer payments in accordance with agreed terms
* Ensure all customer claims are reported to the Quality team in a timely manner
* Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to the Managing Director and APAC Sales Director to track progress against sales budget objectives and targets.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Tertiary education in Food Science, Animal Science or equivalent is preferred
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales or Account Management within the Food Industry, preferably in B2B business.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, fostering trust, loyalty and long-term partnerships
* Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritise key clients and opportunities while leveraging tools and technologies to enhance productivity.
* Service-oriented mindset toward customers and colleagues, self-motivated, mature and capable of working independently
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
