Director of Clinical Training • Launceston & Northeast, Australia Responsibilities
* Manage postgraduate medical education and training programmes, and pre‐vocational workforce, within Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
* Ensure compliance with Australian Medical Council (AMC) requirements through the Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania (PMCT).
* Liaise with specialist colleges and the University of Tasmania.
* Provide guidance and support to the junior medical workforce of Launceston General Hospital.
* Facilitate training and education sessions in accordance with accreditation standards.
* Collaborate with PMCT to deliver a fostering environment and pathway for junior doctors.
Qualifications and Experience
* Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
* Qualifications in education/medical education desirable.
* Experience in postgraduate medical education and training programmes.
Compensation and Benefits
* Salary range: $254,149 – $445,341 per annum, pro rata (Public Sector Agreement 2019).
* 12% superannuation and salary packaging options.
* Allowances: living expenses up to $9,010 and meals/entertainment up to $2,650 per year.

Launceston General Hospital is a 450‐bed teaching hospital and the major referral centre for Tasmania's North and North‐West regions. The role involves working closely with the University of Tasmania and professional bodies to deliver high‐quality postgraduate training and support the junior medical workforce.
