Job Title: Compliance Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled professional to serve as a key member of our Corporate Compliance Unit.
* The Compliance Coordinator will conduct audits and compliance reviews across various aspects of Council operations.
* This pivotal role involves reviewing internal processes, providing guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations, and supporting the development and implementation of corporate policies and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
2. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
3. Assist in the creation, maintenance, and implementation of corporate policies, plans, and documentation.
4. Support the administration of the Corporate Information System, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
5. Contribute to the preparation of strategic and operational plans, annual reports, and other critical documents.
6. Provide expertise on Freedom of Information and regulatory compliance matters.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring the integrity of compliance documentation.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV or higher in Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Investigations, or an equivalent field.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, policy, and compliance frameworks, with the ability to apply this understanding in a real-world setting.
* Experience in compliance monitoring, auditing, or investigations, with a proven track record of success.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and records management systems.
* Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
