About the role
This Construction Manager role is responsible for the delivery of civil, electrical, and structural works on a large‑scale energy project. You will ensure all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards, while managing contractors and site operations.
The role reports to senior project leadership and works closely with site supervisors, contractors, and external stakeholders. This is a permanent position with long‑term career potential within a growing portfolio of energy infrastructure projects across multiple regions.
Duties
* Oversee daily construction activities to ensure contractors meet safety, quality, and contractual obligations
* Coordinate site operations, including scheduling, logistics, and contractor interfaces
* Manage a small team to maintain alignment and communication
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
* Support problem‑solving and decision‑making to keep construction on track
* Engage with external stakeholders and contractors to maintain project delivery
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project planning
Skills & experience
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager or senior site‑based leader in energy, civil, or electrical construction projects
* Background in energy storage, substations, transmission, solar or wind essential
* Strong site management, contractor oversight, and stakeholder coordination skills
* Knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, safety, and quality systems
* Ability to influence contractors and make decisions on site
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Electrical qualifications not essential; practical project experience is highly valued
