We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a leading construction and infrastructure organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a team, delivering high-quality cost management and estimation services across diverse projects in the Resources and Infrastructure sectors.
You will play a key role in managing project budgets, optimising costs, and ensuring accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage quantity surveying and estimating tasks across multiple projects, ensuring delivery aligns with client requirements and industry standards.
Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project lifecycle cost analyses.
Review and manage project budgets, monitor hours, and advise on any variances or non-chargeable items.
Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and potential contractual issues, providing proactive advice to project teams.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members and subconsultants, fostering professional growth and high performance.
Facilitate client communication, providing timely and accurate reporting, and reviewing deliverables before submission.
Contribute to project execution strategies, including contract administration, project close-out, and lessons learned.
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety standards.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying.
Strong knowledge of construction cost management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in relevant software tools.
