The Role An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Switchboard) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will Efficiently operate switchboard equipment by responding professionally to all incoming calls to the hospitalCommunicate regularly with all departments of the hospital to maintain accurate and current recordsExercise judgment and initiative by identifying emergency situations from incoming calls and respond immediatelyOperate alternative communication systems to regularly liaise with hospital staff in the event of an emergency About youTo be successful in this position you will require: The ability to undertake shift work, covering a rotating roster 24 hours a day, seven days a week including public holidaysWhile not mandatory, previous experience working in a dynamic fast paced changing health care environment and under pressure is desirableEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full timeBase salary ranging from $74 722 - $83 0397 per annum About UsSwitchboard teams are located across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, based at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
