Audio visual show technician part time

Dreamworld’s Entertainment team are looking for a Show Technician to join the team on a Part time basis to assist with general AV/Show Technician duties.

Throughout the role you will support all park audio visual requirements, providing quality and reliable AV services across both Dreamworld and WhiteWater World.

We are looking for applicants who have:

* Demonstrated industry experience in relevant Show Technician/Audio Visual roles
* Sound technical knowledge across audio visual systems including but not limited to sound desk operation (input patching, output routing [FOH, Aux, Bus], EQ, Gain, Compressors and limiters/Gates), Artnet DMX control and lighting programming
* Strong trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills to find faults with electronic equipment to component level
* Familiarity with network/IP programming for Bose, Dante and Mac computer, network OSC/UDP messaging
* The ability to work autonomously, under pressure and prioritise effectively in an environment with competing demands, multiple objectives and with minimal supervision
* Ability to perform a range of tasks to support external event operations including but not limited to assisting with bump in/out tasks in relation to Dreamworld Night Market
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to safety and service excellence
* Current open drivers’ license (elevated work platform/ forklift license desirable)

Part time (PT12) employment guarantees a minimum of 12 hours per week over a cyclic roster. It is a condition of PT12 employment that you must be available to work a minimum of 4 days within a 7 day work cycle, inclusive of weekends. As a part time team member you will accrue leave entitlements on a pro-rata basis. Part time team members are also given priority to rostered hours. Good availability and flexibility with working hours are essential. Shifts will vary ranging from days, late nights, weekends and Public Holidays.

Due to the nature of this role, good physical dexterity and the ability to perform physically demanding work tasks is required including working at heights and with electrical equipment.
