Our patented silicon-based long duration energy storage SiBox stores renewable energy as high-temperature heat, ready to deliver on demand. Our methane pyrolysis program, SiPHyR, advances clean hydrogen innovation.We are expanding into the commercial delivery of Heat as a Service (HaaS), providing industries with dispatchable, reliable, emission-reduced heat. The HaaS model combines SiBox with tailored heat supply technologies, backed by smart controls and market-driven flexibility.If you’re ready to help shape the future of industrial decarbonisation, we’re seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the development and execution of energy deals to bring our HaaS model to market.The Role:You will play a pivotal role in establishing the commercial foundations of our HaaS business. Key responsibilities include:Structuring, negotiating, and executing energy contracts such as EPAs, PPAs, and heat offtake agreements.Coordinating with internal teams and external advisors throughout the deal process.Managing due diligence, credit, and market risk assessments to ensure deals are robust and scalable.Identifying and originating new commercial opportunities in decarbonisation and renewables.Defining market entry strategies and structuring competitive HaaS offerings.Building relationships with customers, energy retailers, aggregators, and project partners.Contributing to tenders for decarbonised heat and electricity supply.Analyzing energy market trends and policy developments to inform strategy and pricing.Providing input into pricing, modeling, and business case development.Establishing contractual frameworks for scalable HaaS delivery, including flexible and dual-fuel models.Who you are:We seek someone thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, eager to build new pathways in the energy sector. You will bring:Strong knowledge of the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) and energy contracting.Success in structuring and closing complex energy deals.Experience managing due diligence, legal reviews, and deal execution.Structured project management skills.Ability to build relationships across sectors like industrial, corporate, or mining.Understanding of commercial risk, credit assessment, and financial structuring.An entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with influence at all levels.A sales-oriented approach with a track record of origination and deal conversion.Flexibility and initiative to support broader business goals.Experience or contacts in industrial, corporate, or mining sectors is advantageous.Commitment to ethical decision-making.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams.Qualifications:A degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related fields.At least 5 years’ experience in the energy industry, with a solid understanding of electricity markets.Familiarity with infrastructure project financing, joint ventures, or start-ups is a plus.Willingness to travel as needed.
