About the Role
The role of Surveillance Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing the surveillance and verification regime to provide due diligence in relation to manufacturing and construction activities across the program.
This involves collaborating with Engineering Design Solutions teams and external delivery and contract partners to coordinate and plan surveillance activities in accordance with relevant surveillance management and verification plan requirements.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading a team in the construction and maintenance industry, as well as advanced trade qualifications in a highly specialized field relevant to our works.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who can provide effective leadership and guidance to our surveillance team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
As a Surveillance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Modeling good leadership to inspire direction and delivery, develop people, and drive change;
* Living the NSW Public Sector and organizational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organization and customers;
* Managing Surveillance and Verification Plans for the organization, preparing and undertaking regular reviews and updates to ensure best practice in surveillance management;
* Producing regular Look Ahead and end of month reporting, updates and dashboards and ensuring collation and distribution to relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making and to maintain auditability and traceability of works and activities of teams;
* Managing a team of Surveillance Officers including work allocation, performance, possession working and ensuring all team members maintain construction and rail industry competence in accordance with safety and rail safety legislation;
* Overseeing the appropriate collation of all surveillance reports, filing and the effective production of formal correspondence from document systems to ensure best practice in records management;
* Establishing relevant quality and audit working groups and managing the agenda and attendees to ensure all relevant stakeholders are notified of trending issues, and the appropriate resolution of any issue or risk;
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders through weekly meetings across all Implementation Groups ensuring the coordination of Surveillance Officer input for escalation to Senior Management and Delivery Partners;
* Managing all site surveillance activities on complex projects while managing and minimizing conflicts that may arise between the various stakeholders to enable client requirements to be met and the project to be carried out in an effective and timely manner;
* Ensuring contract documentation is accurate and conforms to Sydney Metro requirements in relation to safety and client requirements.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Demonstrated experience leading a team in the construction and maintenance industry;
* Extensive experience with technologies, practices and processes of civil construction and maintenance works in a highly specialized field relevant to Agency works;
* Extensive experience in best-practice record keeping and document management in a construction or maintenance environment;
* Advanced trade qualifications in a highly specialized field relevant to our works.
