THE POSITION
This company has a rare opportunity to joint their ranks as the Facilities and Sustainability Lead working at the Port of Brisbane offices.
The role will be responsible for but not limited to driving scheduled maintenance and general repairs on all sites, applying contractor management processes aligned with health and safety systems. You would also be:
1. Liaising with the Fleet, Compliance and HSEQ teams on a daily basis
2. Onboarding contractors and site visitors from a maintenance perspective
3. Issuing and ensuring all relevant permits are secured for on-site works
4. Conducting site inspections across all facilities
5. Compiling monthly reports to senior management
6. Design and implement sustainability measures
THE PACKAGE
Alongside full product and job training given by both my client and their customer covering both the logistics and operational parts of the role, the package on offer for the successful candidate is between $90,000 - $100,000 per year, plus superannuation.
THE CANDIDATE
To be considered for this role it is essential that the candidate has experience in facilities management for commercial properties, good verbal and written communication is also required. Other attributes that would be highly desired by my client are:
7. Two (2) years exposure in a logistics or freight forwarding environment
8. An ability to work in a demanding environment, constantly being on the go
9. Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
10. Proven working knowledge of commercial sustainability upgrades
11. Any exposure to HSEQ guidelines would be highly sought after
