As Project HSE Lead, you’ll lead health, safety, and environmental strategy and compliance for a flagship renewables site. Candidates must be required to live locally or be prepared to relocate.
Key duties
- Refine and implement HSE planning and assurance programs across project phases.
- Ensure compliance with Australian WHS law, environmental codes, and social responsibility standards.
- Oversee best-practice safety in civil, electrical, and mechanical construction, lead site inspections and investigations, and support environmental management.
- Champion a safety-first, inclusive culture with staff and contractors, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Use data to drive improvements and benchmark HSE performance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, OHS, Environmental Science, or related field. WHS Cert IV/Diploma preferred.
- 10+ years’ HSE leadership in energy, infrastructure, or construction, ideally renewables.
- Deep knowledge of WHS law, environmental and social frameworks, ISO 45001 & 14001.
- Exceptional risk management, incident investigation, compliance reporting, and contractor management skills.
- Hands-on, solutions-focused leader with strong communication and analytical skills.
- Must hold or obtain Australian driver’s licence, white card, and First Aid/CPR.
