Join the Aurizon Bulk Terminal team in West Kalgoorlie (WA) as a key part of our Terminal Operations Reporting to the Logistics Leader and working a family-friendly roster (8/6), you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient acceptance, securing, and delivery of freight. This permanent position involves gatehouse operations, forklift/reach stacker operation, and upholding our strong commitment to safety.
About the Role:
* Operate reach stackers and forklifts to load and unload products safely and efficiently.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures during equipment operation.
* Comply with safety, fatigue, and heavy equipment guidelines.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism.
* Perform general terminal duties and basic data entry as required.
* Conduct equipment inspections and pre-start checks according to Aurizon policies.
* Handle bulk dangerous goods safely and in compliance with regulations.
* Utilize your skills and licenses, and be open to obtaining additional certifications as needed.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Reach stacker ticket.
* High-risk heavy forklift ticket.
* Ability to pass a Dangerous Goods security clearance.
* Knowledge of terminal operations and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Strong skills in routine terminal operations.
* Experience in heavy operations.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective relationships.
