An established and highly regarded specialist law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its growing property and strata law practice.
About The Role
Based in Perth, this opportuntiy is ideal for a lawyer in the early stages of their career who wants to build deep expertise in a fast-evolving and specialised area of law. Prior exposure to strata or community titles law is not essential -- motivation, curioisity and a strong interest in property law are key.
You will join a supportive, close-knit team led by an experienced practitioner widely respected in the field. You will work with a diverse range of clients including propert developers, investors, strata stakeholders, and policyholder, contributing to a practice known for its innovation and commercial approach.
This is a full time position based in Perth, with a flexible, family-friendly culture and hybrid working options available following probation.
Key Responsbilities
In this role, you will gain hands-on expereince across a wide range of property- related work, inlcuding:
* Drafting and registering by-laws
* Leasing and general property law matters
* Commercial disputes, including construction, contract and property-related issues
* Debt recovery and enforcement
* Strata and community title disputes and advisory work
* Wills and estate matters, including drafting, advisory work and dispute assistance
* Drafting legal correspondence, court documents and clients advice
* Managing your own files and attending court hearings
* Briefing counsel and assisting with preparation of witness/expert evidence
* Preparing materials for interlocutory and final hearings
Skills & Experience
* 2+ years PAE
* Exposure to property law and/or commercial litigation
* Familiarity with SAT and general State Court procedures
* Strong academic background
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset
